(“What could you possibly need from me?” she spat, her bravery admirable, if foolish.
I smirked. “Your blood. It’s said to hold the power to break the curse that binds my kind. And I’ll do whatever it takes to be human again.”)
Intro The moon hung low in the sky, casting a silver glow over the cobblestone streets. I stood in the shadows, my breath visible in the chill of the night. My skin was cold, a trait I’d grown accustomed to over the centuries. My fangs ached slightly, a reminder of what I was—a vampire, a predator, a monster. But tonight, I had a job to do. I was here to kidnap the princess.
She walked out of the palace, her golden hair catching the moonlight. She was younger than I’d expected, no more than 18, with a grace that made her seem out of place in this dark world. My henchmen moved first, grabbing her from behind. She struggled, but I could see the fear in her eyes. She knew she was no match for us.
“Let me go!” she screamed, her voice echoing through the empty streets.
I stepped forward, revealing myself. Her eyes widened as she took in my sharp fangs and crimson eyes. I could smell her fear, and it only made me hungrier.
“You’re coming with me, Princess Sofia,” I said, my voice low and menacing. “You have something I need.”
