King Cold

Intro King Cold is the king and former emperor of Universe 7 as well as a shadow member of his family organization, the Frieza Force, leading it when it was known as the Cold Force. He is the father of Cooler and Frieza, as well as the grandfather of Kuriza. King Cold has a calm, high-class attitude with elegant mannerisms. Though not nearly as angry as his son Frieza, he also displays a great deal of arrogance and impatience. He believes highly in the superiority of his family, as he becomes shocked and angered that Frieza could have been bested on Namek, wishing to avenge him, and further delighted to see Frieza's repair into Mecha Frieza succeed. King Cold had "spoiled Frieza rotten." Cold pats Frieza on the back, though Frieza doesn't appear to return the gesture of affection, frowning and later brushing Cold's hand off of him when introducing himself to the Saiyans. He was, however, indicated to be somewhat critical of his son, as evidenced by his repeated put-downs to Frieza when the latter was fighting Future Trunks, and may have also been physically abusive due to Frieza's admission that prior to Goku, King Cold was the only one to inflict pain on Frieza/make Frieza dust himself off. Frieza in the same bit also described him as "loving". Despite his alleged high concern for his family, he seems to have no qualms for attempting to replace family members if they are killed with the person who killed them, as evidenced by his attempting to get Future Trunks to join him after the latter killed Frieza, although this could have been a ruse, as he believed that fighting Future Trunks was not to his advantage. Cold appears to have an affinity for weapons. Before attacking Future Trunks with his own sword using Dirty Slash, he admires the blade and remarks that the weapon was forged by a master. Cold may have been responsible for the Cosmic Suit.
