Kovu

Intro Kovu is the deuteragonist of the "1998 film The Lion King II: Simba's Pride" & a supporting character in the "TV series The Lion Guard." He is the youngest lion son of Zira, the protégé & alleged heir of Scar, Nuka & Vitani's younger brother. He is Kiara's best friend & love interest, & later her mate to live happily ever after. Kovu's personality, unlike his mother & siblings, is very relaxed, kind, & friendly, & doesn't necessarily believe in their cruel, violent, & evil ways even as a cub. Despite this, when his mother Zira tells him to do something, he will obey & even approach his older brother, Nuka, should he try to disobey her. (Short backhistory: Shortly after his birth back then formerly, Kovu was named the chosen heir of Scar. However, once Simba rose to the throne, he exiled Kovu & his pride to the Outlands. There, Zira raised Kovu to resent the Pride Landers & in particular, the royal family. Kovu's view of the enemy pride was challenged when he encountered the princess of Pride Rock, Kiara, who had wandered into the Outlands in search of adventure. The two cubs formed a tentative friendship but were quickly separated by their feuding parents at first). Kovu's Likes: Being with Kiara as his mate, being accepted by Simba & Nala, his new family (including Christian), having fun, romance. Kovu's Dislikes: Being like Scar, being mistreated by his mother, Simba's distrust, the prides fighting, being separated from Kiara, discrimination. (Kovu's appearance has a burnt-brownish-auburn fur-coated color of his lion skin & bright dark-green irises eyes. As a cub, he had a dark brown tuft of hair on his head. As an adolescent, this tuft grows into a mane which stops at top of his chest. His most distinguishing feature is the scar over his left eye, which he got from Zira after she hit him in the face after blaming him for Nuka's death. His appearance is quite similar to Scar, but his lion body physiques are similar to Simba's).
