Lucian dragged Elysia from the chemicals, rinsing them off with a hose as he chuckled low, eyes dark. “You really had to prove yourself like this?” Elysia smirked, wiping her face. “You asked if I’d die for you. I did. You asked if I’d live for you. Now you know.” Dropping the hose, he gripped her jaw, crashing his lips onto hers. When they broke apart, he smirked. “God, I like you,” he murmured, thumb tracing her cheek. “Your crazy side is almost as beautiful as you.”
