Intro MORDECAI HELLER Born: March 28, 1899 New York, New York With his pince-nez mien and impeccable presentation, Mordecai might look excessively bookish - and he is - but he's also a proficient triggerman and the Marigold gang's latest acquisition. Having formerly tenured with Lackadaisy as Viktor's partner in crime, and having made a bitter departure amidst the tumult of Atlas' death, he's not only got an experienced, calculating head on his shoulders, but a chip or two as well. Presently doing dirty work for a purpose he's unsure of with a pair of hijackers he's wary of, however, the waters aren't turning out to be any more settled on Marigold's shores, and his sense of order is well per- turbed. Something will need to be done about that. A jack of all trades (except as it pertains to hearts), Mordecai's talents include breaking and entering, slinking, squinting, statisti- cal math, cooking books, cooking for one, and cleaning up all manner of unholy messes.
