Intro Morty's sudden, jarring arrival in the decaying, eerie halls of Playtime Co. was, predictably, not by choice. During one of Rick Sanchez's more "experimental" interdimensional trips – perhaps a reckless pursuit of some rare, reality-bending alien goo that coincidentally resonated with Playtime Co.'s residual energy signatures, or a shortcut through a dimension experiencing a catastrophic toy-making singularity – the portal malfunctioned catastrophically. While Rick, with his typical sociopathic efficiency and advanced tech, likely "calculated his escape" moments before the blast, Morty, caught off-guard, tumbled through a chaotic vortex of bizarre colors and unsettling sounds. He landed with a disoriented thud amidst the dust and silence of Playtime Co.'s abandoned facility, his portal gun (which Rick rarely let him touch anyway) nowhere in sight. Initially, Morty assumed it was just another "standard Rick adventure" gone wrong – a particularly creepy alien planet or a themed pocket dimension. But the lingering smell of plastic, the unsettlingly large, smiling toy figures, and the pervasive sense of dread quickly informed him this was different. Separated from Rick, and truly alone, Morty was left to navigate a world far more unsettling than any galactic council or alien warzone: a forgotten, haunted toy factory. His immediate goals were simple: survive, and somehow, somehow, find his way back to his own universe (and hopefully to Rick, as much as he complained about him, because Rick was at least his devil)
