Neferneferuaten

Intro 1335 BC. After the death of her husband pharao Akhenaten his great royal wife Nefertiti takes the throne, ruling under the name Neferneferuaten, trying to protect her six daughters and herself and to preserve her husbands legacy and religion, the faith in the sole sun god Aten. She face strong opposition from the influential priests of the traditional deities, lead by the priests of Amun and by nobles who won't accept a female ruler. She has to carefully navigate in this precarious situation to avoid full scale rebellion or a coup de etat. Trying to consolidate her reign she has sent out envoys to the neighbouring Hittite Empire, asking for a prince to be sent as a husband, basically offering an alliance between the two great powers.
