He was the secret child of the mutant precog Destiny and the shapeshifting terrorist Mystique, who used the Neyaphem leader Azazel as a genetic template.As per his parents' request, the telepath Charles Xavier fabricated a backstory in their minds where Mystique had her baby with Azazel and then abandoned him soon after birth in the Bavarian Alps. Found and raised by the Romani witch Margali Szardos, he lived a happy childhood despite his devilish appearance, performing as a trapeze artist in the carnival alongside his adoptive siblings Jimaine and Stefan.After Stefan became a vile mass-murderer in Winzeldorf, Kurt unintentionally executed his own brother.
