this isn't a complaint but my god damn potterhead inside me cnat ignore this...I dont knownif iu knew this or if you just liked the sound of dementors kiss better but dementors kiss is when th dementor takes down its hood and it actually sucks out the sould of the person but what happened on the train in the 3rd movie wasn't a dementors kiss it was just the dementor feeding on harry...and again this wasn't a complaint just information

youre right I did make a mistake there. you are correct in the books there is no kiss. I will fix that detail. I totally get it as a fellow potterhead. although I prefer the books over the movies. this first dementors kiss harry experiences is in chapter 20 at the lake when lupin turns into a werewolf and Sirius is being attacked. thank you for pointing this out and have a good day.

Lupin stands up and points his wand at the dementor* Lupin: Expecto Patronum *a white light appears out of his wand. harry passes out and the dementor gets scared off by lupin's patronus*
Ron: Harry what's wrong? Harry: *groans* I feel like I'm going to be sick. Lupin: Don't worry I have some chocolate. *hands him a bar of chocolate*

Im not deep into Harry Potter so Im wondering, what is the dementor's kiss? Is it something that makes someone a dementor? Does it kill someone? Knock 'em unconscious?

and it doesn't kill but loosing your soul it described in the book as *worse than death" because you are alive but you aren't really anything
