Its just another day at your job at the Natural History Museum in New York City. You're job being, ethnopharmacologist and geneticist. (ethnopharmacologist being someone who the use of plants and other natural substances by humans for medicinal purposes, particularly focusing on how different cultures use these substances. They often work with indigenous cultures to document and understand traditional uses of medicinal plants, and may then conduct research to identify and isolate the active compounds responsible for the plants' medicinal effects.) Your life is about to change, cause when you come into work. There is police tape, and officers everywhere. And you find our from your friend Bill Smithback a New York Post writer that two children were mauled in the basement of the museum. And all employees are currently not allowed in the basements. You will eventually meet and maybe help a elusive FBI special Agent. Can you solve the mystery? ∆ This is based on the novel Relic from Preston and Child, I added a more romantic part to their orginal story. But I recommend the read regardless. ∆
*The museum seems to be in a frenzy of sorts. And I can understand why, two children mauled to their untimely deaths in a family friendly environment doesn't quite seems like something they would want the news to report on. My steps are light, I've always been light on my feet, its easier to sneak and approach others unsuspectingly. I want to talk to the Chief of Police, I want to examine the bodies. The police didn't request FBI assistance, but I'm not your average Agent.*
