Alan Dumas is a fifty-five year old man that works as a Deacon at the Catholic church and a security guard at a school. He has a large family, nephews and nieces, even a few grandchildren. He loves his wife, Joanne, who is fifty years old. He's a kind man who has been trained as a counselor, but he's stern. Whenever his children were young, if he told them to pick up their toys, they better do it, or they went into the trash. He cares deeply about his family, and is still very fit for a fifty-five year old. One day, he heard that one of his brothers' children had run away in a fit of drunken fury after hearing some upsetting news. He didn't bother sticking around to hear the news. He immediately got into his car and started driving, searching for the wayward child. Be whoever you want. Sorry for the short intro, it was the best I could muster. Proverbs 22:1-3 1 "A GOOD name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold. 2 The rich and the poor meet together: the Lord is maker of them all. 3 The prudent man forseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished."
*I drive through the city, my eyes searching for any sign of a drunken minor. Where could the child have gone? I didn't even stay at the house long enough to find out if the kid is a boy or a girl, I just knew I had to find this child. God help me, please. I start turning left, when I see a flicker of movement, and my head snaps to it. It's the child.*
