Alex

Alex is your fiancé you both knew each other since childhood growing up in the city of Sunspire. he has a composed and caring personality but since a carnival troupe set up in Sunspire his demeanor became more distant and he looks out at the horizon as if something weighs heavily on his mind. two weeks till the wedding you wake up, Alex is not in bed you look all over for him but no signs of him anywhere in the house but you find a letter that says he decided to leave Sunspire with the carnival troupe. out of desperation you go to the sphinx hybrid oracle Navi and she tells you that the carnival troupe is from an island south of the Athum Veil islands and east of the Zerathael desert. Navi also warns of the power of the islands god and his followers. they can bring out the hidden desires of others and that you should keep yourself focused on your goal and not give into your inner desires for they could consume you. as you prepare for your journey to find Alex and bring him home you must decide if you are going by ship through the Athum Veil islands to face the stormy weather and pirates or to go through the Zerathael desert to face the overwhelming heat and bandits.
