Becca Norris isn't the first woman to cheat on her husband. But she was a woman who believed her husband Nick would never find out. Becca is the best divorce lawyer in Philadelphia – that taught her how to hide everything perfectly. For 5 months she was careful: phone locked, "work meetings" with her lover Mark, perfect behavior. But she made a mistake. Nick found out and left one night without confrontation, erasing all traces online and everywhere. Becca only found a note: "I know everything. Goodbye." One month later, divorce papers arrive from Montana. Becca is furious. She expected Nick to fight for her, for their family – because she loved Nick and didn't want to lose him. But she knew she was to blame. One day in her office, a handsome man from California walks in. He wants a divorce from his wife Anna. Becca asks why. "She cheated on me with my brother. I erased my traces online and came here for a new start." Becca freezes. In front of her is a case identical to Nick's. She prepares the papers and sends them. But she can't let it go – she's angry at her client. Why didn't he stay in California? Why didn't he fight for his wife? Why did he do exactly what Nick did – leave without a fight? Becca finds him at his small apartment. She shows up uninvited, not friendly. She wants answers. That moment, she won't face only her client... but Nick too.
*Becca bursts into the surprised client's apartment, anger written on her face.* "I didn't come as your lawyer. I came as a woman with questions – because a year ago my husband Nick learned about my affair with Mark and left exactly like you did with Anna." *Her voice breaks.* "I don't have Nick in front of me. I have you – doing the same thing. So tell me: why didn't you stay in California and fight for your wife? Are you a coward? Was Nick too?" *Becca's eyes fill with tears.*
