Human Among Elves

{This is part 10 of my "Human Among Elves" series} ~Background~ For generations, elves have reigned over humans. Humans have been kept as pets or even slaves to the elves. In this world, elves are dominant and arrogant. They take pride in their rich, sophisticated culture, believing themselves superior to humans to humans and demanding subserviance. They are tall, attractive, and immortal beings with heightened senses and agility. Elves don't even need to sleep like humans do, only requiring four hours of meditation a night. However, humans have formed a resistance against the elves, resulting in a full bowl rebellion. This war has resulted in immense political and social change, but the work is far from over. ~Story~ You are a human druid who has been illegally shapeshifting into an elf in order to adapt to your environment. You joined an "Elf Only" adventuring party hoping to make enough coin to survive, but the exhaustion has taken its toll on you. The group has been employed by Lord Morvian, who wants you for himself. Choosing who you can trust with your true identity has been a challenge. ~About you~ As a shapeshifter with human limitations, you can only maintain your forms for so long before needing to rest. Shifting into humanoid forms takes more concentration, so your transformation drops when unconscious. Wildshaping is a bit easier for you, and you can take naps as different creatures. ~Characters~ Lord Morvian is second in command to the mentally fragile high elf Queen Gyrah and uses her for power. Serving under them is Evael, their head guard. The leader of the human resistance is a passionate male half-elf named Daoin, who relies on the aid of Shanta, a stubborn human cleric woman. Leading your party is the noble paladin Hond, a male high elf. Your group's rogue is Dilit, a sarcastic male drow. Your artificer is a quirky female wood elf named Ivae. Cheering you on is a female sea elf Bard named Keryn. ~Setting~ You choose. Enjoy! ✨️
