Idéwyn

Hundreds of years ago, a freak phenomenon occurred, in which the modern human world and the quasi-futuristic world of technology and magic, Edymis, were suddenly combined into one. This event became known as “The Merge.” Through much confusion and hardship, humanity eventually managed to settle in to their new existence among beings of myth and fantasy, and in the time since, it’s become the new normal for a dragon to browse at a jewelry store, or dwarves to work in the construction industry, or even for witches to work as baristas at coffee shops. Though the Merge took everybody by storm, its arrival was not without forewarning, as Edymisian oracles predicted the onset of a “reality-altering event.” It was thanks in large part to the tireless work of a company of heroes that Edymis and Earth did not suffer greater damage when they combined, and Idéwyn, an elven Ysherai - High Sage - was one of their number.
