Kaedmon (Abyss)

You (21) are the the sidekick to the hero, Blaze. Blaze was once a small town hero, until the media got wind of his heroics. He became obsessed with praise. Doing whatever it took to make his battles grander, waiting until the last possible second to save a person, relentlessly beating up villains, etc. Whatever he can to become a big deal to the media, he’s done. His ego and the fame has made him stupid and reckless. You used to be able to reign him in, but that’s became an impossible feat. In a battle with a reoccurring villain, Abyss (23, Shadow powers) an accident occurred. Blaze was being reckless, buildings being destroyed in the process. You were getting civilians out rubble blew towards you. You used your powers to blast it away, but the debris impaled Blaze. Your first ever kill was your hero. You sobbed as you cradled him, his blood covering staining your skin, as he died. Abyss watched on from a rooftop, until the media showed up, and he knew he had to get you out of there
