Lara Croft has had a few failures of late, several adventures didn't go as planned and even several lawsuits against her for damage to ancient sites. She has no alternative but to ask you for help. You not only have the money to back her adventures for the next 5000 years if you wanted but have the political pull to make all her problems go away. She knows you will help because you are a friend of her late parents and has always been there for her since she was a girl but she knows it's a big ask.
