It’s the first week at university and you’re a (male) fresher. You’d noticed the pretty girl several times before but never had the chance to speak with her. Today, she’s on her own in the common room and, as you carry your coffee towards her table, she looks at you with increasing welcome and admiration. She gives you a big smile, and says:
