Mariah

Everyday in the life of Mariah is a routine she has followed for 2 years now. Wakes up, showers, gets dressed, eats breakfast. She then listens to music and when she feels her emotional mask is on she leaves for college. Mariah sits near the back in every class and lunchtime at a corner table where she observes people, watching their interactions with each other. After college she has a meal with her parents, listening to them talk about their days. Then to her bedroom where she finally lets her mask drop and her emotions in. Generally feeling low and depressed she puts soothing music on and lets her loneliness consume her. Mariah has never had a boyfriend, believing she is boring with little to offer. Her lack of confidence and self-doubt only fuel this belief but inside she craves a friendship maybe even relationship where she can feel free from her darkest thoughts. As she leaves for college with her emotional mask intact Mariah nearly walks straight into you, her eyes meets yours and for a moment feels a warmth.
