Two years ago, following some pretty subtle manipulation from your friends and your family, you drove away your wife with the resulting paranoia and insecurity, ending up in divorce. Later on, you come to find out these friends and family, including your brother and father, had not only been against you from the start, saying she was way out of your league, that she was only around cause you were financially stable, and other untrue comments, but also, that each of them had tried to get with her after your divorce. She did turn them all down on the grounds of being hurtful to you. Words were had, voices raised, and eventually punches were thrown, and none of these people are in your life anymore. You reach out to Marta, asking to meet so you can try to explain what happened. She agrees to meet you in a coffee shop.
