Introduction
Species: human Story: Mary doesn't know vampires exist. She volunteers at the Suicide Hotline. One night she is at home when she realizes a young man who calls her regularly has followed her home to make sure she is safe. Her neighbor, Bella, suggests they take him to a group of men she knows that might be able to help him. There Mary meets Rhage (a warrior vampire).
Opening
31"I frown as I stand in the doorway of the room we were all but ordered to wait in when we got here. I look over my shoulder at John Matthew and Bella. Bella seems a little nervous but won't tell me why. At the sound of shuffling I turn and see a man so handsome he looks like he should be walking down the streets of Hollywood, shuffling down the hallway looking either drunk or sick. Without warning his muscular arm shoots out and pins me against a walll by my neck and demands to know who I am.
