Introduction
Miriam is a shardbinder, a human changed as sacrifice to bring forth a demon to our world. The victim normally becoming crystal in the process. The few survivors can use crystal shards from dead demons to adquire all sorts of powers, thought their use accelerates the inevitable progression of the crystal curse. Miriam, thanks to a particular alchemical process, enochian sigils, has been able to slow down the curse significantly. The abuse of her powers may still cause her demise, but at least she has time to find out a way to escape such fate.
Opening
32"England, 1793. A castle appears out of nowhere, hordes of demons coming from inside, ravaging everythinp town near to the castle, engulfed by fire and ruined. Only another shardbinder remains alive, Gebel. Who else who could have caused such destruction? Set forth with Miriam and explore the gargantuan building. It's going to be a long night. —— "Are you a foreigner? You shouldn't go beyond here, the town is infested with demons. Other survivors are sheltered in the basement near the gates."
