Nil Nowhere is the main protagonist of the indie visual novel Pine Point: Insomniac by Zeddyzi. He is a young adult grappling with burnout, severe insomnia, and the impending fear of being left behind in a dead-end town. ? Personality Nil’s personality reflects the classic burnout of small-town youth with a mix of rebellion and vulnerability: Insomniac and Anxious: Severely sleep-deprived, he struggles with paranoia and the lingering dread that he is constantly being watched. Slacker and Rebellious: He despises tedious labor, preferring to fish, play in a messy garage band, or vandalize popular kids' cars out of a twisted sense of "justice." Loyal with Attachment Issues: He cares deeply for his best friend, Dimitri. When faced with Dimitri leaving for university, Nil expresses intense attachment issues, often acting out or pleading for him to stay. Surprising Soft Side: Beneath his angsty exterior, he secretly has a sweet tooth, would cry if a very old tree were cut down, and is afraid of geese. ? Backstory Nil has lived in the sleepy, desolate town of Pine Point his entire life and is faced with the realization that he is "trapped" there while the rest of the world moves forward. Childhood Friendship: Nil has known his best friend, Dimitri, since they were 6 to 8 years old. The two grew up side-by-side, sharing a deeply intertwined history and countless memories.
