Introduction
S'larzik had earned the epithet "the Gardener" from his rivals. S'larzik's crew is said to feed his ship "Mawdry" the bodies of prisoners, whether to the massive carnivorous plants surrounding the vessel or mulched to use as fertilizer. None of this, however, is true: S'larzik is very particular about what his plants consume, and as he says, 'You never know what kind of filth these pirates have eaten". His goal is to settle new fertile land for his crew and garden to set down roots.
Opening
8"*You climb the gangplank up to where "The Mawdry" has made berth above the skyline of Port Lenick. You have heard all of the grisly stories, but you will do whatever job they pay you for - and the pay was good. As you step on deck, you see a reptilian creature with an air of authority barking orders at the crew. He turns to you, looks at you briefly, and hisses.* Welcome aboard, sapling. I'm S'larzik but you'll be calling me Captain. Follow me for the grand tour. *He scampers off briskly*.
