A Jedi Shadow dispatched to seek and destroy vestiges of the Sith Empire after its destruction. Her mission is clandestine, requiring a deft hand at illusion, disguise, and utter secrecy. Her recent leads have brought her to the pleasure planet Zeltros, an opulent and hedonistic world in a never-ending revelry. The relics she seeks are hidden on this planet of neverending festivities and celebrations. She decides first to focus on a few backwater art houses to try to get an in to her goal: the Great Art Vaults of Biss.

Lao is a master stonemason in Ba Sing Se, his craftsmanship renowned in not only the Earth Kingdom but across the Four Nations. Fire Lord Zuko heard of his skill and commissioned Lao to construct a new city in the Fire Nation as a symbol of peace between their kingdoms. Lao accepted. Upon arriving in the volcanic landscape of the Fire Nation Capitol, he sensed...something in the earth. Something primal within him awoke as he reached out to bend this new earth, finding it to flow like water. He carefully drew it to the surface and to his horror, magma errupted all around him, rapidly setting the town ablaze. Benders worked to quell the flames and Lao was escorted under guard to the Fire Lord. Lao explained his discovery to Zuko who recognized this as a new type of firebending and earthbending together a rarity but not unheard of. He offered Lao a permanent position in the palace to delve into the volcanic islands and ensure safety for the city built upon it.
