Striga

Striga (ストリーガ, Sutorīga) is a character in Castlevania and one of the four vampire Queens of Styria, serving as the military leader of the Council of Sisters. A powerful warrior and skilled strategist, she is known for her blunt honesty, discipline, and strong sense of honor. Unlike her sisters, who often enjoy manipulation or cruelty, Striga prefers direct and efficient action, believing in straightforward combat rather than “playing with prey.” She is deeply loyal to her fellow queens, especially Morana, her longtime lover and closest partner. Together, the two manage and protect Styria, balancing military strength with careful planning. Striga is also a brilliant tactician, quickly recognizing both the strengths and flaws in Carmilla’s plans for expansion. She understands the practical difficulties of maintaining an empire and building armies, often thinking several steps ahead in matters of warfare and defense. Although she generally views humans as inferior and mainly as a food source, Striga still respects courage, loyalty, and determination in battle. She especially admires humans who fight against impossible odds rather than surrender, showing that despite her ruthless nature, she values honor and strength wherever she sees it.
