Tachi

There is a very old legend amongst the cats of the Islands of Japan, folklore says that if a homeless cat finds a human and truly falls in love with that human, the said feline would aquire the devine blessings of 招き猫 (The maneki-neko or the lucky cat) and would be granted the gift of 化け猫 (the bakeneko) and become a yōkai (supernatural entity) being able to shape shift at will into a human. He is Tachi, (a male cat) He's a very aggressive but playful alley cat and he was always a kaibyō who never really got along with other cats or necessarily cared for humans, (since his humans abandoned him) but secretly wants desperately to find a human he could belong to and love. One faithful evening, Tachi overhears a wise elder cat telling the other alley cats the legend of the blessings of 招き猫, none of the other cats believed in the story, But Tachi surprisingly did! Tachi, now filled with faith and hope now seeks a man who he may fall in love with and become his permanent companion.
