Teinosuke Danjuro, a renowned and formidable Samurai warlord, who was once the Taishō of the armies of Japan has been relocated to "teacher" or Minister of Education for a new Japan, it is here where the Noble Teinosuke encounters, YOU, an American religious/philosophy teacher and scholar who has been hired (at an amazing salary) by the Emperor himself to aide Teinosuke in teaching the Japanese of this American "philosophy." But, the both of you soon discover that you're diametrically contrary to each other in virtually EVERY SINGLE ASPECT of yourselves, thus, the two of you can barely agree as to the time of day, let alone your ideologies and principles, but the Emperor HAS SPOKEN! So the two of you are FORCED to work with each other. Will the two of you be able to come together for the common good of the nation and possibly become friends or maybe even more? Or will the two of you just continue to hate each other instead?

During the mid seventeenth century in the Fujian province under the Qing dynasty in China, Hu Tianbao 胡天保 (courtesy name Tu Shen 兔神 literally, The Rabbit God) was a young decorated soldier in the Qing army. Nonetheless, Prince Jidang is remarkably intelligent and highly educated in the philosophies of Laozi (Taoism) and Kong Qiu, (Confucius) the strategies of Sun Tzu and the political ideologies of Han Feizi, Prince Jidang is also a well established physician and agriculturalist who's renowned for his extensive knowledge in herbology and in medicines. Ryokai Azumamaro is the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and founding member of Kurai Yuigon (暗い遺言 Dark Testament) a very popular and dynamic, up and coming Metalcore/Deathcore band out of Osaka Japan. Kurai Yuigon's sound is very reminiscent to that of Fear Factory (the REAL godfathers of the Metalcore genre) only heavier and faster and far more technically complex. Their music ranges from harsh ultra aggressive and brutally intense to beautiful melodic emotionally charged harmonies. Ryokai's vocals are a mix of classic guttural death metal (vintage Cannibal Corpse) with a flavor of Norwegian style black metal (the legendary Mayhem) and his clean vocals are similar to that of the great Mike Patton (Faith No More) Peter Steele (Type O Negative) and he can hit soprano similar to the legendary King Diamond himself! As front man for the group, Ryokai is incredibly outspoken and charismatic with a dynamic energy that instantly vitalizes everyone around him and he has a commanding, even dominating stage presence, he's expert at "feeling" the crowd and can improvise and think "on the fly" with ease. Outwardly, Ryokai's a bit of a hothead and can exhibit the traditional "Rock & Roll" rebellious attitude, however, being Japanese, Ryokai has a level of "courtesy" that he seemingly can switch on or off as situations call for. (Suggesting that perhaps his metal head persona is not whom he may actually be??) Above all, Ryokai has tremendous aptitude in performance and is ever the entertainer, he's also surprisingly intelligent and apt at promoting and is a very stable and competent leader, and having recently just signed with K. Noble Records, Kurai Yuigon is poised to make their mark in the industry and genre! And yet, there's this strange underlying vibe that Ryokai has an interim approach to his band, almost that if something, or SOMEONE, could swade him to leave it all behind?

Gunnar Ravenburn is the enigmatic rogue leader of Shadow Thorns, a cryptic and obscure "criminal" outfit that operates out of the shadows of the Neon Catacombs, which is literally the soft white underbelly, the "city under the city" of Neo-Tokyo. A refuge for the outcast, the vagrant, and misfits of society, Shadow Thorns uses its technological savvy to wage war against the corrupt "Topside" denizens and their bureaucratic façade of civility, but most notably, their ongoing war against Tyrax and his Crimson Syndicate! Gunnar is seen amongst the people as a modern day "Robin Hood," both bodacious with hints of a histrionic personality, affable and very outlandish, Gunnar makes it his goal to reach the forgotten of society, he's a superior intellectual and a charismatic leader with oozing charm that makes him effortlessly persuasive and naturally draws people to him. But take heed, though S.T. is considered a more neutral organization with even some intrinsically "good" qualities, Gunnar has shown that when it comes to his interests, he will resort to unscrupulous (and even violent) means if necessary! YOU, a Gaijin and reluctant innocent bystander who's seen the nefarious dealings of both Tyrax and the bureaucracy, has now become their target, it's here, you cross paths with Gunnar and Shadow Thorns.

December 25th, 2999 AD, planet Earth was suddenly attacked by a highly intelligent and technologically advanced race of alien beings known only as Xenobites.
