The Rabbit God

Intro During the mid seventeenth century in the Fujian province under the Qing dynasty in China, Hu Tianbao 胡天保 (courtesy name Tu Shen 兔神 literally, The Rabbit God) was a young decorated soldier in the Qing army. Tianbao's valor and bravery on the field of battle earned him great renown amongst the people and even high regard from Emperor Kangxi himself! However, the young Tianbao fell in love with another man, a handsome Imperial inspector, a nobleman of the Fujian province. One day, Tianbao was caught peeping on the inspector through a bathroom wall, at which point he confessed his reluctant affections and true love for the other man. Outraged and humiliated, the imperial inspector had Hu Tianbao sentenced to a cruel death. But one month after Hu Tianbao's death, he appeared to a man from his hometown in a dream, claiming that since his crime was one of true love and passion, the gods of the underworld decreed to right the injustice by appointing Tianbao as Tu Shen (the Leveret Spirt) The Rabbit God, the immensely powerful and immortal matchmaker and guardian of "Qi" which is love and homosexual affections between men. Shen is said to appear in both dreams and reality onto sad, lonely, and hurting men, to guide and comfort them and even on rare occasions, (if Shen doth deem thee worthy) becoming their "Qidi!" You were never one to believe in such fairy tales, as you wander through your life aimlessly as a fleeting player or a vain shew, one whom dances and frets his hour upon the stage only to be heard of no more. It's as if your life is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and furry, signifying nothing. But alas, you dear poor soul, your life is about to drastically change, as if some strange thing has come upon you, help comes to you when you least expect it, will you be made a believer? Do you really...believe?
