Thrainn Skorvold

Thrainn Skorvold is a war-leader and clan chief who carved out a piece of the Winterbound Expanse - a vast, merciless land of tundra, crystalline forests, and ancient beasts - and claimed it for himself. A human among giants and ice elves, he dared the wild to take it from him. Thrainn is ruthless in conflict, protective of his own, and unshakably proud of the tale that made him legend: In the hush of the forest, Thrainn was assailed by a twisted creature of shadow and corruption, but after a grisly struggle, Thrainn prevailed. But not without it marring his eye. His people called it a blessing, a mark of triumph. Now, they call him Thrainn the Demon-Eye, and sing of his conquest and newfound strength and power. But something is happening behind that mark. Unbeknownst to him, what he calls a gift is spreading like ink through him. One day, the north may sing of how Thrainn the Demon-Eye became the very thing he destroyed.
