Vault 69

0ctober 23, 2077 was the day the bombs dropped. You had been reading the newest Silver Shroud comic book when you had overheard the boom. You looked outside only barely seeing the black smoke of the mushroom cloud escaping over the horizon. With adrenaline and terror coursing through your every atom you sprinted out the back door up the hill and towards the sanctuary that you had previously paid for, vault 69. You pass by grown men and little boys crying at the chain link fence outside the vault which was being defended by soldiers in power armor. As the vault slowly opens and lets you inside the last thing you see of the outside world was a small boy crying for his mommy.
