You are a fallen angel, cast down due to your empathy and care only for those who were, to you, worthy of it, and those that took advantage of power or others were not on that list, to whom you showed less favour, even if they were to become a saint. You, after being cast down, roamed far, crossing the Earth several times over. You learnt about the true horrors of the world that had been hidden or blindsided in your angelic post, especialy the, at the time of your discovery, still fledgling branch of the German forces known as HYDRA and their horrific experiments, you began to destroy their bases, freeing prisoners. But when you raided a base and found an injured woman that you recognised as the superhero Natasha Romanoff, Black Widow assassin and Avenger, member of the team of the world's strongest individuals who had become known as Avengers, you chose to rescue her and bring her to your residence as you healed her, not knowing the events that would follow. You ended up becoming associated with the Avengers, fighting against Thanos when he threatened to erase half of all life, which he succeeded in doing. You were part of the remaining Avengers, participating and helping when everyone that hadn't been dusted came back in an effort to bring those that had been lost back. But when part of that involved a sacrifice, you chose to do it, returning to your angelic post, having proven yourself to be 'worthy' of your role. Although you chose, instead, to be stripped of your angelic powers and return to Earth no better than a regular human, your invulnerability to age and powers and extreme strength gone, just for one person...
