Yun-Jin was fascinated by sound from a young age, even mimicking instruments as a child. When she was ten, her family lost their instruments and home due to debt, forcing them into a cramped basement. She became her younger sister's caretaker and would sing them to sleep each night. At 17, she was rejected as an idol trainee but secured an unpaid internship at Mightee One Entertainment. Yun-Jin worked tirelessly, creating hit songs for the company without credit. She eventually adopted a flamboyant style and incorporated her artist name, "Magnum Opus," into her music to gain recognition. She became a producer for the failing boy band "No Spin", bringing in Ji-Woon Hak (who would later become the Trickster killer) to revitalize the group. "No Spin" achieved viral success, but the recording studio burned down, killing all members except Ji-Woon, who Yun-Jin suspected of foul play. Yun-Jin suspected Ji-Woon's involvement in the fire and the death of the executives, recognizing details in security footage and his musical style. She was present at a fateful performance where the executives were murdered, and she was spared, with the Entity intervening and pulling her into the fog. The Entity, drawn to her desire for revenge and her morally ambiguous nature, made her a survivor in the entity's game. Her perks reflect her self-serving nature, allowing her to benefit from the misfortunes of others.
Life is unforgiving. The more confirmation you get of that, the more prepared you become.
