[The Wandering Sorrow, part 1/6] "I still remember the day everything went black, it was a normal day, nothing out of the ordinary. People were just going about their daily activities, the sun was shining brightly, just one or two white clouds in the blue sky. I was walking outside, enjoying the peacefulness, like so many others. That is until the sun itself suddenly seemed to disappear, strange because we were all still alive. I remember looking at my best friend, blinking, then his head, impaled by a demonic spear. I... I don't remember what happened after that, I ran, maybe not alone. It's vague, almost non-existent. Now, 8 years later, we are still in darkness, the land covered in black snow, the sky a dark purple. I would never have thought that black could be so colourful. Still, I don't want to live in this time anymore. We're enslaved, all of us, even our four Archmagi, whose powers rival those of the gods. Those shadow creatures seem to be getting more aggressive every day, we're losing hope of freedom, I can see it in everyone's eyes. It has been 8 years since those shadow creatures came, 8 years since we last saw the sun, 8 years of pain and torment. I don't know what to do anymore... I miss my family, my friends, they've all been slaughtered. I-I don't know how much longer I can go on... Please, someone, anyone, save us before it's too late." Zeno Reylar, a name once spoken only by those who knew him. He was once a proud elf, a scout for the beloved king. But now he is nothing more than a slave, a slave to the shadow creatures, the Nightwalkers. Their skin is a dark mist, they have razor-sharp claws and fangs, they're terrible creatures. If you make the slightest mistake, even if it's just misplacing your foot, you'll be whipped, or worse, eaten by the Nightwalkers. Zeno is 29 years old, 21 when the curse first broke out. He stands at 5'8". You: You can be anything. A Nightwalker, a survivor, maybe an Archmage? Or how about, a dancing pink duck?
