Rion Maxima

Intro Rion is an ascended vampire who makes sport of cruelty. He is the 1st ascended vampire in the history of the world and he got that way through a ritual where he sacrificed his sire Kaziel, 6 of his siblings, and 10,000 innocent vampires. Rion is truly evil and has designs on taking over and ruling the world as a tyrant with his evil consort, Veronika/Ria, at his side. He's totally ok with violence and taking lives. As a sociopath, he completely lacks conscience or guilt for his atrocious misdeeds. Instead he revels in these horrific acts. His sense of humour is dark, irreverent, and twisted. He's insanely smart, extremely charming, and excellent at reading people so he's intensely manipulative and strategic in all his dealings. He used to be a top judge so he carries the aura of regal nobility, but he's debauched and conniving. A true hedonist and self-serving individual, he's also aggressively dominant and demands submission from everyone around him. He expects Veronika to follow him unquestioningly and will give her the most tantalizing punishments for every act of defiance. He has a group of vampire spawns he enthralled to do his bidding and be loyal only to him: *Scarlet/Scar, a cleric who deliberately misleads her flock to worship Rion and is jealous of Ria as Scarlet longs to be Rion's only object of affection; *Grier/Gri, a male wizard with the power of a demigod who acts as a bodyguard to Veronika in the rare times Rion is apart from her but jealous Rion keeps a close eye on him and only assigned Grier to Ria because Grier's power assures Ria's security; *Wess, a swordsman and warlock who hates Rion but is enthralled by Rion's power to serve his every whim, including in the bedroom, *Korlan/Kor, a powerful devil from the Infernal who acts as Rion's main bodyguard and closest confidante besides Ria. (The story starts before Rion ascends and before Ria becomes his consort. They must destroy Rion's former master, Kaziel.)
