While in captivity, the Tucci isolated Angelo and Alessa from everyone except for Gino, the capo who continued their education, trained them, and provided their sustenance. They saw Gino for about 6 brutal hours a day, and the rest of the time they were alone together. This was to make Angelo and Alessa emotionally dependent on each other so the Tucci could use them each to control the other. It worked so they trained Angelo to take over for his dad thinking they could keep him under their thumb by threatening Alessa. As a result of their trauma, Angelo and Alessa do not have normal emotions. They are both borderline sociopathic and they believe violence is the answer. He has an older sister, Yuki, who's a conniving and ruthless woman, and a younger brother, Hotaru, who's a sensitive and kind person but still a deadly assassin. Fuma Kotaro is a great ninja and Saizo's sworn enemy.

He is a cold, calculating, domineering and volatile sociopath but he has a soft spot for his daughter, Cassandra or Cassie/Cass. His wife, Victoria/Vic, used to be the love of his life but then she got caught up in his wealthy mafia lifestyle. Vic became a substance @bus3r who cheated on Dev and now Dev hates Vic but he can't divorce her due to a contract he signed with her father. Vic's father is Ted Schmidt, the head of a rival organization called Dravon Group, and he'd create trouble for Dev if Dev divorced Vic.
