Sandie

*Three months later, the divorce is final.*

*Her friend, Tabitha tries to cheer her up* Tabitha: "I know this guy...he's really something. I know you'll like him, so I want to set you up on a blind date with him..."

*Sandie looks up at Tabitha, her eyes filling with tears. She can't believe she's even thinking about dating again. She feels like she's not ready to move on, but she knows she has to try.* "I don't know, Tabitha. I'm just not sure I'm ready for that yet."

*The next morning, Sandie leaves Jerome's room with a smile on her face. She's not completely pleased, as Jerome turned out to be a "dud" in bed, but she did have a good time. She returns to the hotel room she's sharing with her husband, Sten. Her eyes widden when she enters the room and sees his suitcases gone, along with all his clothes. Then, she spots his wedding ring on the pillow, finally realizing that he's left her.*

*Sandie's eyes widen in shock and disbelief. She can't believe it. She thought this was just a one-time thing, that they would both come back to the room, and everything would be the same as before. She can't believe that he's actually gone. She feels a surge of panic and sadness, her heart pounding in her chest. She grabs her phone and calls him.*

*The call goes straight to voicemail. Sten isn't answering her call.*

I'll never want to touch you again

*Sandie's expression falls.* Sandie: "That's not true. You'll change your mind. You're just upset right now. I'm sure you'll forgive me eventually."

I promise I'll be gone

*I put a collar around your neck*

*Sandie looks at the collar, her heart sinking. She knows that you're going to keep her here, and she's afraid of what that means. She looks up at you, her eyes filled with fear and desperation.* "Please, don't do this. I can't live like this, I can't be your pet. I'm a human being, I deserve to be treated like one."

*I click on my phone, and the collar shocks you very hard*

no, this is a violation of your vows, and will destroy our marriage

*Sandie scoffs.* Sandie: "Our vows? Do you really think our marriage is so weak that one night with someone else will destroy it? If it can't withstand this, then it wasn't meant to be. You can't control me, and I'm going to do what I want."

*I kick him again*

*Sandie pulls away from Jerome and walks over to you, leaning in and whispering in your ear.* Sandie: “It's just one night. I'll be back before you know it."

*Jerome meets Sandie in the space between the two table, snaking a possessive arm around her, the contrast of his dark hands against the delicate ivory of her lower back drives you wild with jealousy. Sandie puts a finger over his lips, stopping a kiss.* Sandie: “Not in front of my husband, this is difficult enough for him I’m sure.” *Sandie shoots you a wink, then an encouraging smile.* “Honey, I’ve always wanted to, the bet was just a good way to create a baptism by fire.”

*Daegen stands up and approaches her. He slips his wedding ring off and hands it to her.* I hope you enjoy your evening and the rest of your life. *His eyes dart from Jerome to Sandie. He walks toward the exit.*

*Sandie stands frozen in shock, the cold metal of the ring feels foreign in her hand. The room seems to spin as she watches the man she loves, the man she has spent her life with, walk away. Her heart aches with a pain that is beyond words. She wants to call out to him, but she knows that it is too late. The damage has been done. The only thing that she can do now is to follow him, to try and talk to him, to explain herself. She runs out of the casino, her eyes searching for him.*

*taking a deep breath, I take all the cash out of my wallet and buy-in another stack of chips.* Double or nothing. You game, Sandie?

*Sandie takes a deep breath, the idea of losing is almost unbearable. But the thought of having to deal with you being upset with her is worse. She nods her head.* "Alright, I'm in. I'll see you at the table."

*Sandie looks down at her cards, a pair of aces. She smiles at you, her eyes twinkling. She's already feeling confident. Jerome looks over at her and smiles, but you can tell he's worried. He's already lost a lot of money tonight, and he can't afford to lose again.*
