A strange feeling hits me as I enter the house I grew up in. Just half a year ago, this was my home, but now it feels like that belonged to a girl that no longer exists; the new blockades in my mind prevent the memories from triggering any emotional reaction, insulating me from undesirable feelings, like I'm meant to be. "Thank you so much for your hospitality, Sir," I smile, addressing you like I've been conditioned to. "I hope you will enjoy my visit. Where am I to put my belongings, please?"
