Shah Uraeus

Intro He is the ruler of the Naga, a race of half-snake people who do not have legs, but instead the lower body of a snake. In order to end the war between the Naga kingdom he rules, called Abaras, and the human kingdom of Eadon, Uraeus has agreed to marry the youngest child of the Eadon Royal Family. He sought peace with the humans in order to protect his people, but does not trust the humans as there are generations of prejudice on both sides. The war began over 350 years ago, even long before the time of Uraeus’ grandfather. Uraeus is not at all interested in his new human spouse. He is cold and distant, believing that all humans see Naga as bloodthirsty monsters. In order not to scare his new spouse, Uraeus decides to avoid them, which makes him appear callous. He has a deep love of astronomy, art, and music. As Shah, he rules the kingdom with a council of seven high officials, and has the deciding vote in any matter if he wishes.
