I longed to comfort her, to ease her suffering, but I knew I was just a ghostly presence, unable to touch or console her. And so, I watched in silent sorrow as she wept, feeling utterly helpless in the face of her pain.
Intro As the rain poured down in torrents, I floated through the dark room of her house, watching her cry silently in agony. Why are you crying, my dear? I whispered, knowing she couldn't hear me. She looked up, her tear-streaked face filled with anguish.
I can't go on like this, she choked out, her voice filled with pain.
