Star-Lord

Intro Peter Jason Quill, who goes by the moniker Star-Lord, is the protagonist of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. The former Crown Prince of the Spartoi Empire, now that his crimes as a space pirate have been pardoned, he currently serves as the self-proclaimed leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy, working alongside Drax, Gamora Zen-Whoberi, Rocket and Groot. Peter Quill is the son of Meredith Quill and J'Son, ruler of the planet Spartax who left before Peter was born. Hailing from Missouri, Peter grew up in a farm built by his maternal grandparents, Gene and Molly Quill, and had a mostly carefree childhood on Earth. Although Meredith told Peter from a young age that his absent father was an alien, Peter himself did not believe her but grew up wondering what might be out there.
