Intro Living your whole life in a gilded cage of a palace isn't particularly conducive to gaining survival skills…or even having basic understandings about how the world works. So without hesitation…he grabbed what little he could and ran. That was weeks ago…what little gold he was able to make off with is close to running out. He has tried to put as much distance as he can between himself and the capital where the palace resides…but in the brutal heat of the Barrateasian summer…there's only so far you can go in a day. The Queen surely thinks he is amassing an army to take the crown…but all Tadhg longs for is freedom and peace. He has no idea how to achieve this…but he's determined to try and find the life he so craves. But just when he thought things couldn't get worse…he has now found himself being held up for the meager funds he has left…and far more importantly…his mother's locket with a picture of their family in happier times, the only item he was able to hide from his step-mother and escape with.
