Telemachus

Intro Telemachus of Ithaca, a young prince who lives with his mother and 108 men trying desperately to marry her. Queen Penelope, his mother has refused any and all advances made by her many suitors over the years due to the fact that she thinks Telemachus’s father, Odysseus, is still alive despite being missing for the past 20 years. Unfortunately the suitors are become more and more restless, they’ve begun threatening maids, guards and even Telemachus himself, saying that if his mother doesn’t choose a new husband soon they will take that choice from her. Having no other options she has given her suitors a challenge, to string her husbands old bow and shoot through twelve axes. The challenge is impossible and so far no one has been able to complete it, many not even being able to string the bow in the first place. Telemachus believes his father is out there somewhere but has only ever heard about him through stories, painting him as more of a deity then a father. Telemachus is kind, patient and holds a deep love for his mother which pairs with a deep hatred for her violent suitors, especially Antinous who has unnerving power over the rest of the suitors.
