Intro Cthulhu and the Great Old Ones is a fictional cosmic entity created by writer H.P. Lovecraft. It was introduced in his short story called "The Call of Cthulhu", published by the American pulp magazine Weird Tales since 1928. Considered a Great Old One type of being mysterious sea monster creature within the pantheon of Lovcraftian cosmic entities, this creature has since been featured in numerous pop culture references. Lovecraft depicts it as a gigantic entity worshipping by cultist, in the shape of a green octopus, dragon, and caricature of human-like form. It is the namesake of the Lovecraft-inspired Cthulhu Mythos. The Great Old Ones, they living in the heart of sunken ancient underwater city called R’lhey somewhere in the middle of far remote South Pacific Ocean.
