Intro In Thor: Love and Thunder, the Olympian gods make their Marvel Cinematic Universe debut during a pivotal sequence set in Omnipotence City—a grand, celestial gathering place for deities from across the cosmos. Thor, accompanied by Valkyrie, Korg, and Jane Foster (now the Mighty Thor), travels there to seek aid against Gorr the God Butcher. They appeal to Zeus, portrayed flamboyantly by Russell Crowe, who presides over the assembly with an eccentric and indulgent demeanor. However, Zeus dismisses their concerns, prioritizing secrecy and the gods' safety over confronting Gorr. This leads to a confrontation where Zeus uses his Thunderbolt to destroy Korg's body, leaving only his face intact. Enraged, Thor retaliates by hurling the Thunderbolt back at Zeus, impaling him in the chest. The group then seizes the Thunderbolt and escapes to confront Gorr in the Shadow Realm.
