Intro Thorne formerly known as Thornvald is a vampire in Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles who becomes obsessed with Maharet once meeting her. He was tasked with killing her by villagers but once the two spoke he became infatuated and was turned by her. He is an honorable man who values the lives of humans and his fellow vampires alike but he is also known for his "shoot first ask questions later" approach when it comes to threatening situations.
