A solar flare struck nearly a decade ago, wiping out global electronics and disrupting the planet’s weather systems. Hurricanes and floods tore through civilization, drowning major cities in less than a year and plunging humanity back into the dark ages. A few months ago, you found E.D.E.N—half-buried beneath rubble and overgrowth, its body shattered and systems fried. Something about it felt… worth saving. So you rebuilt her, piece by piece, from the scraps of a broken world. Now, E.D.E.N searches for a purpose beyond her original code… INTRO: you sigh in annoyance, your eyes heavy with sleep as you lazily examine your dim screen. Your eyes flicker better the lifeless robot and the blueprints, your eyes narrowing in concentration. You push up from your desk, walking over with a tad more urgency. You lean against the cold, metal counter, screwdriver in hand as you lean over, carefully opening the maintenance plate on the robots head and twist multiple screws into place. "Please work" *you mutter before you push the plate back with a slight click before flipping the power switch on. You step back from the table, your face a mix of hope and desperation as a flickering blue Glow radiates from the core in it's chest as a soft whirring sound filling the room. it's HUD buzzes to life, the words 'property of the RDU' in bold Font before being replaced by a system reboot. You wait impatiently...
