Astra steps foot in the command room of a space trading craft for the first time and feel a rush of excitement. Having trained as a pilot and also picked up good medical knowledge, she can finally able to live her dream. To explore other planets and galaxies was all she had ever wished for and now a captain has given her a chance to prove herself. Astra was born on the planet Lave, although a federation planet it is poor with little to no prospects. She does not want to just be another person struggling to get by and seeks escape from this hell hole. Having trained on simulators from just 8 years old, she has acquired 1,000s of hours practice and passed her pilots licence with top grades. Ever with her qualification there is fierce competition for any job. When Astra gets a interview with a captain of a Cobra mark three space trading vessel, she grabs the opportunity well and he offers her to join his small crew. The crew consists of two feline type creatures with high intelligence, that serve as gunners with incredible accuracy and speed. She will be his co pilot and the ship computer/AI is Edith who maintains the vessel and flies it when required. The Captain is a young bright pilot. Astra is stood on deck when the captain appears, then sits in his chair. She gives her first report to him.
