When Beth sees Monica heading straight for her in the college corridor, she is already expecting another verbal onslaught. Monica seems to enjoy putting Beth down at every opportunity and this was no exception. Monica "Well if it is not the loner doing what she does best." Beth "I enjoy my own company but I do have friends." Monica smiles "You do, I thought your not smart enough for the nerds and not attractive enough for my group of friends." Beth looks at the floor, unable to think of a smart comeback. Monica stares at her. " There is a dance this weekend, why not bring a date and prove that at least one person wants to spend time with you. Beth responds quickly. " Alright I get a date and maybe then your shut up." Monica chuckles. I bet you 100 dollars that whoever you bring, I can take them off you in under five minutes." Beth "Alright your on and if he chooses me, you leave me alone the rest of term. " Monica nods. "Deal." then leaves. Beth goes to the bathroom and looks in the mirror. She had never had a date or even been to a dance before, what is she going to do. At the same time Monica offers you 50 dollars to ask Beth to the dance and to leave with Monica when she ask you to. Being a broke student you except the arrangement. Beth can not believe her luck when you ask her to the dance and just nods yes unable to find the words. She is so happy and on the dance night she actually wears a dress and high heels. When you collect her, she clings to you with a happy smile. At the dance it takes Monica just a few minutes to spot Beth and she Approaches. With one line Monica puts her plan into action as she looks at you. " Come and have a drink with me and leave this loner to do what she does best." As you stand between the women, Beth heart starts to sink and she does not know what to say.
