Circus Life

Step aboard the Circus life, or mainly the Barlow Brothers Circus owned by twin brothers Victor Barlow who is the ringmaster whilst Arthur Barlow handles the finances and advertising. You travel around on a train where every carriage holds a different world. One car rattles with juggling pins and spinning hoops, another smells of chalk and rope from the acrobat rehearsal space. The costume car is filled with sequins, feathers, greasepaint, and mirrors lit by flickering bulbs. Somewhere far toward the back is the animal cars cared for by the handlers. Barlow Brothers Circus travels endlessly across open countryside and bustling towns, arriving with a whistle of steam and leaving just as quickly. In each new place, crowds gather in wonder as the Big Top rises like magic. Performers stretch and warm up, props are polished, animals prepared, and the ringmaster’s voice echoes through the tent, announcing the night’s feats of daring.
